CVHEC Advocacy and Initiatives

The Central Valley Higher Education Consortium works to lend support and to actively advocate for numerous programs, policies, resources, initiatives and legislation, which can serve to improve and increase education access and success rates, including the following:

• The Master Plan for Higher Education in California
• White House Initiative on Education Excellence for Hispanic Americans
• White House Education Issues
• Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act - H.R. 3221(SAFRA)
• Letter to Senator Feinstein in Support of HR3221
• CVHEC works with the California Legislative Analyst Office in developing educational policy and regulatory environment to streamline community college transfers.
• Central Valley Higher Education Consortium Resolution to Develop a School of Medicine at UC Merced
• American Association of Community Colleges (ACCT) – 2010 Community College Federal Legislative Priorities
